UAZ has released a batch of pre-production "Patriot" and "Pickup" SUVs with a modernized ZMZ Pro gasoline engine producing 149.6 hp and 235 Nm of torque. This was reported by the company's press service.
The cars also received a new six-speed manual transmission. The next stage is passing certification tests.
The transmission is designed for torque up to 320 Nm. It provides better fuel efficiency, reduces noise and vibration, and improves vehicle dynamics.
Due to the possibility of operating in a lower rpm range, this solution has a positive effect on fuel efficiency. In addition, the transmission simplifies the selection of the optimal gear for the driving rhythm, reduces noise and vibration levels, and improves the dynamic properties of the car, positively affecting driving comfort in general.
Tests of the new modifications will be carried out in various climatic conditions and on different types of roads.
The exact timing of the release of the updated "Patriot" and "Pickup" on the market has not yet been announced.
Earlier,www1.ru reported that UAZ will betransformed into a hybrid car.
