The first digital trail in Russia has opened at the Arkhyz resort in Karachay-Cherkessia, uniting three popular routes: Dinnik Peak, Fedoseev Pass, and the Path of Times.
Now, walks in the Caucasus Mountains have become interactive: with the help of digital tags, hints, and info boards, tourists can learn about the nature, geology, and cultural heritage of the region.
At the beginning of the trail, at the upper station of the Orbita cable car, a unique geological column made of rocks formed more than 200 million years ago has been installed.
The project presentation took place within the framework of the conference "Technologies and Practices of Digital Transformation of Trails in Natural Parks," which was the result of the on-site phygital school "Digital Transformation of a Natural Park."
