The Xcite brand has announced the start of sales of its X-Cross 7 and X-Cross 8 crossovers on the "VTB Auto" platform. Currently, the cars are available in 13 Russian cities, including Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, and Krasnodar. The company promises to expand its presence.
The seven-seater X-Cross 8 was assembled at the former Nissan plant in St. Petersburg, but, according to unconfirmed reports, production ended in the spring of 2025. Lada dealers have stocks of these cars in warehouses, which are being put up for sale.
According to statistics, dealers sold 2,043 Russian-assembled cars in July. This is 26.3% more than in June, and almost 2.6 times higher than last year's results. The X-Cross 7 was the most popular, chosen by 1,700 buyers. The seven-seater X-Cross 8 sold 343 units. In total, from January to July, Xcite sales in Russia amounted to 5,874 cars.
It was previously reported that the Xcite crossover assembly project was being curtailed and warehouse stocks were being sold off with significant discounts. Now, the launch of sales through "VTB Auto" may give the brand new impetus and expand its audience.
