A Vehicle Type Approval has been issued for the diesel modification of Volgabus-4298-429804. The bus is equipped with a Weichai WP4.6 engine with 220 horsepower and a FastGear hydromechanical transmission.
The vehicle is designed for operation in major cities of Russia. The bus features increased passenger comfort due to the convenient arrangement of seats and a wide aisle.
Key features include a passenger capacity of 53 to 65 people; up to 29 seats, 2 doors, and a semi-low floor.
The bus is equipped with a climate control system, providing comfortable conditions for passengers. To improve the accessibility of the vehicle for people with disabilities, special measures have been implemented. In particular, there is an automatic boarding level adjustment system, as well as installed ramps.
The gas engine modification of Volgabus went into production in 2022. The manufacturer positions the vehicle as an alternative to route taxis. The 9-meter bus is only slightly inferior in capacity to 12-meter counterparts.
