Russian airlines have already begun to place orders for Il-114, Baikal, Ladoga, and Osvey regional aircraft through a preferential leasing mechanism. Deliveries will begin as production expands, according to First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.
In response to a question about the obligation of carriers to switch to new aircraft instead of the currently used An-24, Manturov emphasized that a sufficient number of manufactured aircraft is needed first.
It is always better to have motivational mechanisms, and the state has them. I am referring to the civil state order, which includes the Il-114 and, in the future, the Baikal, Ladoga, and Osvey. Airlines are already placing orders through preferential leasing mechanisms.
Serial production of the Il-114 is expected in 2026, with the aircraft being certified in December 2025. The Baikal should be ready for serial production no later than December 2026.
The rollout of the TVRS-44 Ladoga is scheduled for the end of December this year. An experienced prototype of the Osvey aircraft, in cooperation with Russia, is planned to be created in Belarus in 2026.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Il-114-300 will increase resource and reliability thanks to new developments.
