ALROSA Airlines has launched a re-equipment of its helicopter fleet. Over the next ten years, the fleet will receive new multifunctional Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters.
Mi-8MTV-1 is a modification of the Mi-8 multipurpose helicopters, known for their increased payload capacity and reliability. The machines are produced by the Kazan Helicopter Plant of the Russian Helicopters holding (part of Rostec).
Updating the helicopter fleet is a strategic step that will allow us to significantly increase operational efficiency and flight safety in difficult conditions.
The Mi-8MTV-1 has a maximum takeoff weight of 13 tons. The helicopter can be equipped with additional fuel tanks, thanks to which the flight range will reach 1050 km without refueling. By 2035, ALROSA will receive up to 10 new Mi-8MTV-1s.
ALROSA Airlines currently operates Mi-171, Mi-8 T, Mi-8 MTV, Mi-26 T and An-38-100 helicopters. The pride of the aviators are the heavy Mi-26 T helicopters, which allow the transportation of heavy and oversized cargo weighing up to 20 tons, both inside the fuselage and on an external sling.
The parent company ALROSA is the world leader in diamond mining.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the millionth titanium ingot for the construction of the MS-21 and SJ-100 was smelted in Russia.
