Power Unit No. 3 Reached 100% Capacity After Repair of Transformer and Turbine Generator

Kursk NPP has restored the operation of power unit No. 3 to full capacity a week ahead of schedule.

At 2:20 AM, work was completed on the restoration of the transformer and turbine generator No. 6, after which the power unit reached 100% capacity. Previously, on August 24, a local fire occurred as a result of a drone attack, and the unit's capacity was reduced by half due to damage to the transformer.

Currently, power units No. 1 and No. 2 are in non-generation mode, and unit No. 4 is undergoing scheduled repairs. The radiation background on the territory of the station and in the surrounding area remains within natural values.
