«Яковлев» завершил наземные частотные испытания импортозамещенного самолёта МС-21

The tests took place in the final assembly shop of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant

Specialists from PJSC "Yakovlev" (part of the United Aircraft Corporation) have completed ground frequency tests of the second import-substituted sample of the MC-21 medium-range aircraft. The tests took place in the final assembly shop of the Irkutsk Aviation Plant, the company said.

"Yakovlev" Completed Ground Frequency Tests of the Import-Substituted MC-21 Aircraft

During the tests of the prototype aircraft, engineers checked the operation of the domestic power supply system, integrated control system, hydraulic system, radio-electronic equipment system, and chassis, created by a broad cooperation of Rostec enterprises.

Frequency tests are an important stage in the certification program, which guarantees the reliability of the aircraft and brings the fully import-substituted aircraft closer to its first flight.
Vitaly Naryshkin, Chief Designer of MC-21 PJSC "Yakovlev"

The test program consists of two types of checks and includes tests of the integrated control system units and chassis units when excited with vibrations of various frequencies. The aircraft that has passed the frequency tests is protected from the occurrence of dangerous resonant vibrations of the structure in flight.

Earlier www1.ru reported that 14 SSJ-100 aircraft were found to have defects in the fuselage structure.
