Belarusian MLRS "Polonez" to be Considered as a Carrier of Nuclear Warheads

The firing range of the complex is up to 300 km

Belarus is considering equipping the Polonez multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) with nuclear warheads, said Alexander Volfovich, Secretary of the Republic's Security Council.

He recalled that the Polonez missile system was created jointly with China, and later modernized by Belarusian specialists.

Today it is the most modern complex. The range of the missile was 200 km, now it is a missile of 300 km. This is a high-precision weapon.

The State Secretary of the Security Council stressed that strategic deterrence issues, including missile production, have come to the fore.

The development of the modernized version of the Polonez-M MLRS began in 2016. The complex was created on the MZKT-7930 "Astrolog" chassis, one MLRS carries eight launch containers of 301 mm caliber.
