Belarus is considering equipping Polonez multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) with nuclear warheads, said the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic, Alexander Volfovich.
He recalled that the Polonez missile system was created jointly with China, and later it was modernized by Belarusian specialists.
Today it is the most modern complex. The range of the missile was 200 km, now it is a missile with a range of 300 km. This is a high-precision weapon.
The State Secretary of the Security Council emphasized that strategic deterrence issues, including missile production, have come to the fore.
The development of the modernized version of the Polonez-M MLRS began in 2016. The complex was created on the MZKT-7930 Astrolog chassis, one MLRS carries eight launch containers of 301 mm caliber.
