The Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) has completed the repair of a hydromechanical speed governor for a diesel engine. The repaired device, model ORN-50, is designed to automatically maintain a specified engine shaft speed.
The governor adjusts the fuel supply to the cylinders when the load fluctuates. It also performs the functions of limiting the maximum engine speed and stopping it in response to signals from control and protection systems.
KMZ utilizes its own production facilities to perform such work. The plant has specialized equipment, a spare parts warehouse, and a complete set of technical documentation. In addition to stationary repairs in the company's service area, KMZ also organizes on-site technical maintenance of engines in various regions of Russia.
