The Yandex Maps service has begun displaying the cost of public transport in Istanbul. The feature allows users to see the total cost of a trip, including transfers, as well as fares for individual modes of transport. The data is provided by operators IETT, İstanbulkart, Marmaray and Şehir Hatları.
When building a route, the application takes into account fares for the metro, buses, ferries and electric trains. For example, a trip from Istanbul Airport to the Asian part of the city is displayed with a breakdown of the cost for each section of the route, including the metro (M11 line) and bus.
The update is available in the latest versions of Yandex Maps for iOS and Android. The service helps to plan routes on foot, by public transport and by personal transport.
