The company "Skyway" (a participant in the National Technology Initiative (NTI) "Aeronet" market) has developed a large drone designed for low-cost cargo transportation over distances of up to 500 kilometers with a payload of up to 200 kilograms. This was reported by the NTI platform's press service.
The device is capable of delivering cargo at a maximum speed of 180 km/h and operating at temperatures from -40 to +50, with wind gusts of up to 20 m/s
Currently, a full-size prototype of the drone has already been manufactured and is undergoing flight tests. A digital model of the development has also been created, and an aerodynamic analysis of the body has been carried out.
The development surpasses electric counterparts in both practicality and cost. The practical benefit of using such a drone lies in transporting goods over long distances of up to 500 kilometers at a lower cost than classical aviation. No special infrastructure is needed, just good gasoline from any gas station.
The device can be controlled either manually or follow a pre-set route. In the future, it is planned to integrate artificial intelligence and machine vision for searching for people in the forest or environmental monitoring.
The device's design includes a power frame, rotors with swashplates, angular gearboxes, chassis, and other parts. The developers noted that the design uses standard automotive components, which in the future can be replaced with parts of its own design, which will significantly lighten the weight of the device.
Adding wings and a pusher propeller may increase the drone's flight range by 2-3 times, opening up new perspectives for its use in various fields.
Earlierwww1.ru reported that WingedBull XS and WingedBull XL unmanned trucks willundergo testing in 2026.
