In the Perm Territory, the sale of local shipbuilding products is being resumed. This was announced by Governor Dmitry Makhonin in an interview with the Russia-24 TV channel.
Those niches where we were forced to develop new product samples, services, we, I believe, are coping one way or another. And this again allows us to revive some shipbuilding industries, there was no product sales, but now there is product sales
The fact is that the number of tourists in the region is increasing from year to year. Thus, in 2024, 1.5 million people came to the Perm Territory for recreation, which is 23% more than in 2023. In January-May 2025, the region was visited by 570.3 thousand tourists, which is 5% more than in the same period last year. Thus, the region is experiencing a need to update the fleet of river vessels, attracting investment in the modernization of the shipyard.
The Perm Shipyard, founded by the Perm Territory Development Fund and the Emperium Group, resumed its work in 2021. Since April 2023, it has become a resident of the Perm Special Economic Zone and participates in the federal project "Labor Productivity".
