Russian Replacement for Liebherr Equipment: Second Crane of the "C 4000" Series Commissioned After Successful Tests

C 4000 series cranes are designed to operate on ships, pontoons, and platforms of any purpose

Specialists of CJSC "SMM" have completed sea trials and commissioned the second ship crane of the C 4000 series. The crane has received a certificate of compliance from the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping — its technical characteristics have been confirmed and meet the requirements of the technical documentation and the Rules of the RS.

The C 4000 series model has become a full-fledged replacement for Liebherr products and is designed to operate on ships, pontoons, and platforms, including military ones, in an unlimited navigation area. The maximum lifting capacity is 150 tons, and the equipment is designed for operation at temperatures from -40 °C to +40 °C, including in rough seas.

The crane is versatile in terms of the types of cargo handled and can operate both at the pier and in the open sea. Commissioning of the third crane in the series is already planned, which emphasizes the stability and technological maturity of Russian crane construction.
