The Industrial Development Fund (IDF), in conjunction with the regional fund of the Perm Territory, has allocated 46.2 million rubles to "Skolkovo" resident company "Robotech." These funds will be used to establish the production of industrial 3D printers and robotic cells in Perm, which should accelerate the adoption of additive technologies and automation in Russian enterprises.
The financing agreement was signed during the "Innoprom" International Industrial Exhibition with the participation of the Governor of the Perm Territory, Dmitry Makhonin. The project involves the creation of a machining complex that will produce key components for industrial robots and 3D printers.
A distinctive feature of Robotech's developments will be software with an intuitive Russian-language interface.
The development of modern industry is inextricably linked to the automation and digitalization of production. In this track, it is doubly pleasant to finance relatively young companies with small, but technologically advanced and important projects for the region's economy. The IDF will provide a concessional loan of 41.6 million rubles to just such a project by the Robotech enterprise for the creation of industrial robots and additive installations. The total budget will be 58.6 million rubles.
The industrial 3D printers that Robotech will produce are designed for the manufacture of sand-polymer casting molds. This technology eliminates the need for expensive tooling and significantly speeds up the casting process. Robotic cells will be able to automate operations such as assembly, welding, and material processing.
Governor Dmitry Makhonin emphasized that such initiatives contribute to the technological development of the country:
Our goal is to double the number of such companies by 2030, and increase their total revenue by 7 times. One example of an ITC is Robotech LLC. Our domestic enterprise creates its own industrial robots, 3D printers, and other automated equipment. We are focused on ensuring that such companies grow, increase production, and the technological sovereignty of the country will depend on this, among other things.
Among the first customers of the products are such industrial giants as "ODK", "MAZ" and "KAMAZ".
