Tenet Prepares to Release Flagship Model with Chinese Roots — Crossover Based on Chery Tiggo 9

Sales will start in Russia before the end of 2025

Tenet is preparing to release its flagship model — a large crossover with the index 43T, based on the Chery Tiggo 9. Production of the new product will be established at the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga. The company now belongs to AGR Holding. Sales of the new crossover are scheduled to launch before the end of 2025.

The 43T crossover, like previous Tenet models, is based on Chery production cars. In this case, we are talking about a 7-seater Tiggo 9 SUV with dimensions of 4810×1925×1741 mm and a wheelbase of 2800 mm. Under the hood, the new product has a 2.0-liter engine with a capacity of 249 hp, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The equipment includes a large 15.6-inch screen with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a full set of winter options.

According to information from the declaration of conformity, the manufacturer of the 43T crossover is the Kaluga enterprise AGK. Previously, the plant was engaged in the assembly of Volkswagen cars, and now its capacity, designed for 200 thousand cars per year, will be used for the production of localized Tenet models. It is assumed that the price range of the new product will be comparable to the Chery Tiggo 9 and will range from 4.15 to 5.05 million rubles.
