Generators for nuclear power plants and thermal power plants will be produced on the territory of the "Atommash" plant in Volgodonsk. The corresponding agreement was signed on the sidelines of the SPIEF-2025 by the Acting Governor of the Rostov Region Yury Slyusar and the head of the Rosatom Machine-Building Division Igor Kotov.
Volgodonsk, at Atommash, has accumulated sufficient competencies for the production of turbines and generators for nuclear power plants and steam turbines for thermal power plants.
The production will be located in one of the plant's buildings. Now, in addition to "Atommash", there are two Rosatom enterprises: "Rosatom Renewable Energy" (production of wind power plants, WPP), "Atomtruboprovodmontazh" (production of high and low pressure pipelines for nuclear power plants and thermal power plants) and the private plant "Armstroyexport" (production of valves for the oil and gas industry).
