Additional structures made of steel cables, which are installed on Russian tanks, reliably protect the vehicles from kamikaze drones. The effectiveness of this protection was described by tank company commander Evgeny Sukhanov.
He noted that to protect tanks from drones, they use electronic warfare equipment, additional protection, and new tactical techniques. In particular, tanks are equipped with cables, which have been dubbed "dreads" on the Web.
Dreads are a new word in field tuning of armored vehicles. The vehicles are welded with thick steel cables that bend under their own weight, so they resemble the corresponding hairstyle.
The military man emphasized that this protection reduces the likelihood of the tank being hit by kamikaze drones.
