Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that the share of modern weapons in the country's strategic nuclear forces is 95%. The statement was made at a meeting on the state armament program. This was reported by the Kremlin press service.
According to the President, this indicator is the highest among all nuclear powers in the world. He emphasized the importance of the nuclear triad, which, according to him, was and remains the guarantor of Russia's sovereignty and plays a key role in ensuring the global balance of power.
Within the framework of the new state armament program, the President called for special attention to be paid to the development of the nuclear triad, which emphasizes the strategic importance of nuclear potential for the country's security.
The term for the implementation of the new state armament program is scheduled for the period from 2027 to 2036.
