Российскую платформу для квантово-химического моделирования представил «Ростех» на конференции ЦИПР-2025

Qphorus Accelerates Drug and Material Development with an Intuitive Interface

At the CIPR-2025 conference, the Rostec State Corporation presented Qphorus — a cross-platform application for quantum chemical modeling and digital design of molecules. The development was created by RT-Tekhpriemka in collaboration with Moscow State University as part of the federal program "Advanced Engineering Schools."

Collaboration with Moscow State University within the Qphorus project is an example of how truly advanced solutions are born at the intersection of science and industry. We are creating not only a convenient tool, but also an entire digital ecosystem that allows us to accelerate the development of new compounds and materials, biosensors and pharmaceuticals, as well as optical technologies. A test version of the Internet portal and molecule visualizer will be opened as early as July 2025, and a real-time molecular dynamics visualization module will appear by the end of the year. In 2026–2027, it is planned to integrate cloud technologies, machine learning methods and neural networks. In parallel, a user interface is being developed to access the computing resources of supercomputer centers.
Vladimir Litvin, Managing Director of Rostec State Corporation

Key advantages:

  • Calculation automation — simplifies work for students and researchers.
  • Real-time mode — instant visualization of changes in molecular structure.
  • Support for cloud computing (planned for 2026–2027).

Qphorus combines the functions of editing molecules, visualizing electronic orbitals, spectral vibrations, and molecular dynamics in real time in one interface. The platform is based on the domestic quantum chemical package Firefly and is designed to replace several foreign analogues, such as IQmol and Winmostar.
