Russian Railways will fully switch to domestic software by 2030. This was announced by Evgeny Charkin, Deputy General Director of Russian Railways, during the "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia" (CIPR) conference.
According to Charkin, all business-critical systems will be transferred to Russian solutions by the end of 2027. The company plans to completely abandon foreign software in 2030.
Thus, Russian Railways is implementing a large-scale import substitution program in the field of IT infrastructure, ensuring technological independence and stable operation of digital services in the long term.
