The modernized Su-57M1 fighter, which became the first sixth-generation combat aircraft in Russia, will be equipped with the latest R-97 hypersonic missile with a range of 450 km. This was reported by military expert Dragolyub Bosnic, citing his own sources.
The expert claims that the R-97 was developed specifically for the new version of the Su-57. The maximum speed of the munition can reach 10,000 km/h, and the maximum range is about 450 km.
In addition, the new aircraft may also receive the latest radar station (radar) with ROFAR (radio-optical phased array antenna).
