An amber-colored diamond weighing 468.30 carats and measuring 56x54x22 mm was mined in Yakutia. This incredible find was reported by Alrosa.
The company's CEO, Pavel Marynichev, noted that this is the largest gem-quality diamond mined in Russia.
It is symbolic that it was found in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. Therefore, we decided to name it in honor of such a significant event for our entire country.
According to Marynichev, 2025 will be a special year in the history of the country's diamond industry. In April, Alrosa presented the largest diamond in Russian history, weighing over 100 carats. The cutting of the stone took more than two years. This diamond was named "New Sun". It will soon be put up for auction.
