The "Booking.com Hotels and more" application unexpectedly appeared in the Russian application store RuStore with the note "big novelty". This was surprising, since in 2022 the company removed all Russian hotels from its platform, although it did not block users' personal accounts.
It is worth noting that in the version downloaded from RuStore, Russian hotels are still absent. Thus, Booking's presence in the Russian store looks more like a technical opportunity for users to manage their bookings abroad than a signal that the service is returning to the Russian market in full.
