JSC GLONASS has successfully integrated artificial intelligence into its ERA-GLONASS emergency response system, according to the company's head, Alexey Raikevich.
AI will automatically recognize about three million calls per year from faulty SOS buttons.
According to him, the new system works as follows: emergency calls are received at the processing center, where the neural network analyzes them. False calls are filtered out, and real calls are forwarded to the rescue services. This way, emergency services avoid overload and work more efficiently.
Currently, 12.5 million vehicles are connected to the ERA-GLONASS system. In the event of serious accidents, the system automatically calls for help, transmitting the coordinates of the victims. Since its launch, more than 460,000 emergency calls have been transmitted.
