In May 2025, the Tracer service from VK will be integrated into the Aurora operating system version 5.1.5, providing Russian developers with a powerful tool for monitoring and analyzing errors in mobile applications and websites.
The collaboration between VK and "Open Mobile Platform" has led to the creation of a system that automatically finds and analyzes crashes in programs. When a problem occurs, the service generates a detailed report indicating the places in the code where the error occurred. The built-in artificial intelligence analyzes the data and suggests possible solutions.
There are more and more projects on Aurora OS, the ecosystem is actively developing. Tracer expands the developer's toolkit, offering more opportunities for high-quality software lifecycle support. We thank the Tracer team for their fruitful collaboration, we hope that the new service will be appreciated by developers, and the quality of applications by our users.
Tracer finds errors that cannot be detected during testing. This saves developers time and improves product quality. The service runs in the background without loading the system and provides a high level of security for each application.
It is gratifying to see how the Russian developer community is coping with the challenges of the IT industry together. When launching Tracer, we understood that colleagues had practically no options for quickly fixing crashes, so our motivation was to provide them with a good tool as quickly as possible. Tracer will continue to develop, and in 2025 we will present several more important updates.
Tracer has become an important domestic tool for developers on Aurora, similar to Google Crashlytics for Android. The service is used by VK products (RuStore, Odnoklassniki, Zen, VKontakte, Mail) and developers of large Russian companies (Wildberries, 2GIS, Superjob, Okko).
