The Element Group of companies is preparing to launch the first serial production in Russia of power supplies for server and telecommunications equipment based on domestic electronic component base. By the end of 2025, it is planned to start production of up to 100,000 units with a capacity of 800, 1200 and 1600 W.
The production will be deployed in the Moscow region by Element-Technologies. The project is expected to reach its design capacity by 2027. The 1600 W units are designed for high-performance equipment working with big data and artificial intelligence.
According to market estimates, the volume of the Russian market for server and telecommunications equipment is 150,000-170,000 units per year. At the same time, the share of domestic equipment has grown from 15% in 2021 to 35-40% in 2024. The total market volume is estimated at 400-450 billion rubles.
Independent analyst Alexey Boyko noted the uniqueness of Element's initiative, as no one had previously dared to combine serial production, component localization and their unification. The use of exclusively domestic components significantly increases the cost of products, which makes them competitive mainly in the public procurement segment.
