The fully import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft with domestic PD-8 engines is ready for its first flight, which will take place before the end of April. This was announced by Oleg Bocharov, First Deputy General Director of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec).

In March, an experimental model of the "Superjet" SJ-100 with PD-8 engines, but with imported systems, made its first flight. Then, the General Director of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, reported that another fully Russian aircraft with PD-8 engines would join the certification flight tests in April.

The Minister of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov, stated that the first flight of the fully import-substituted passenger aircraft "Superjet" SJ-100 will take place on April 25.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the characteristics of the new Russian aircraft Tango, which will be mass-produced no earlier than 2027, have become known.
