Rosatom specialists have completed the installation of the horizontal lining of the reactor building for Unit 3 of the Leningrad NPP-2. This was reported by the press service of the state corporation.
On the foundation of the constructed facility, specialists assembled and welded together 118 steel grades, each 8 mm thick. The area of the lining, made in the shape of a circle, amounted to about one and a half thousand square meters, the total length of welded joints – 2380 linear meters.
The next stage of work will include joining and welding the horizontal and vertical lining of the building. Next, the builders will concrete the walls of the inner containment and introduce a system for its prestressing. The dome of the reactor building is also planned to be lined and concreted.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the creation of the inner containment of the reactor building had begun at the Leningrad NPP-2.
