The company Sollers is actively exploring opportunities in the African markets to create production facilities for the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ). This was stated by the General Director of the group of companies, Nikolai Sobolev.
According to him, the CIS countries remain traditional sales regions, but interest in Africa is growing. He emphasized that it is premature to name specific countries for organizing assemblies at the moment.
Sollers is considering the possibility of creating assembly plants in regions that correspond to the philosophy and spirit of the UAZ brand. Work in this direction is already underway, and the company is striving to expand its presence in the international arena, Sobolev added.
