The crew of the 72nd expedition to the ISS will return to Earth next week. Roscosmos announced that the Soyuz MS-26 manned transport spacecraft is scheduled to undock from the International Space Station (ISS) on April 20 and land on Earth.
On April 20, 2025, the undocking from the International Space Station and landing of the Soyuz MS-26 manned transport spacecraft with a crew consisting of Roscosmos cosmonauts Aleksey Ovchinin, Ivan Wagner, and NASA astronaut Donald Pettit is planned.
According to the plan, the spacecraft will undock from the Prichal module at the ISS at 00:56 Moscow time on Sunday, and the landing on Earth is scheduled for 4:17. The crew of the 72nd expedition arrived at the station on September 11, 2024.
On April 8, 2025, the Soyuz MS-27 manned spacecraft docked to the ISS, carrying Roscosmos cosmonauts Sergei Ryzhikov and Aleksey Zubritsky, as well as NASA astronaut Jonathan Kim.
Currently, a team of ten people is working at the station: Sergei Ryzhikov, Aleksey Zubritsky, Aleksey Ovchinin, Ivan Wagner, Kirill Peskov - Roscosmos cosmonauts; Donald Pettit, Anne McClain, Nicole Ayers, Jonathan Kim - NASA astronauts; Takuya Onishi - utyukhikosi of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA).
