A unique VAZ-2108 car with a rotary engine, originally intended for special services, has been put up for sale in St. Petersburg. Such cars were intended for the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State traffic inspectorate; in terms of speed characteristics, they could catch up with any foreign car of that time.
The presented sample was manufactured in 1998. Under the hood, it has a 1.3-liter engine with a capacity of 140 hp, working in tandem with a mechanical transmission. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes a record 8 seconds for that time.
One of the unique features of the "eight" is the electronic dashboard manufactured by the Zhytomyr plant "Electroizmeritel", which has become a collector's item.
The owner is asking 4 million rubles for the 27-year-old hatchback.
