A rare specimen of the original 1979 Niva in perfect condition has been put up for sale in St. Petersburg. The "capsule" car is located in a private collection of rare cars.
The Niva has a mileage of only 38.5 thousand kilometers. According to the seller, for the past few years it has been stored in a warm and dry room that served as a museum. Over the past three years, the car has left its parking space no more than twice. It remains in fully working condition.
The VAZ-2121 SUV is equipped with a standard 1.6-liter engine and a manual gearbox for its time, and all-wheel drive is also available. The seller valued the rarity at 2 million rubles, which exceeds the cost of a new Lada Niva Sport, which in a single configuration costs about 1.7 million rubles.
