Sberbank has announced a phased shutdown of outdated versions of its mobile application "SberBank Online" for users using the Android operating system.
Many customers have already encountered access problems. When attempting to log into an outdated version of the application, a notification appears on the smartphone screen asking you to update the program to the current version.
According to information provided by the bank's customer support service, only the latest version of the application is currently available — 16.6.0. Bank specialists recommend that users update the program. This can be done, among other things, at a bank branch.
The process of disabling old versions of the application is carried out gradually, depending on the specific version installed on the device. The call center noted that users are massively receiving notifications asking them to update the application. The bank is actively working to improve the security and functionality of its services.
