The Tu-22M3 supersonic bomber-missile carrier received a variable sweep wing, which provides the combat aircraft with good aerodynamic characteristics. The uniqueness of the missile carrier was explained by the Honored Military Pilot of Russia, Major General Vladimir Popov.

According to him, the Tu-22M3 is a unique machine even in appearance with high aerodynamic characteristics.
