A new domestic sports car brand — Rydin — project has been launched in Russia. The initiative was launched in 2022 in response to the cessation of support for Russian racing teams by foreign companies.
The creators of Rydin set out to develop a competitive car capable of competing with global brands in the GT4 and GT3 classes. At the same time, the car should be available at an affordable price.
The first Rydin model is a coupe for circuit racing and endurance racing. The car is currently in the design stage, but it is already known that its characteristics will be comparable to GT3 class cars, while the price is expected to be at the GT4 level.
For the first two copies, the engine and gearbox will be purchased abroad. However, the body, chassis, suspension and design part are fully developed in Russia.
In the future, the brand plans to release a road version and a supercar with further entry into the international market. Rydin's production facilities are still limited. It is planned to assemble from three to five cars annually.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the first MARTT sports car is coming out on the roads.
