Roskomnadzor reported that more than 13 billion rubles were recovered from Google

Most of the amount is fines

Russian authorities have recovered 13.4 billion rubles from the Russian "daughter" of Google since 2021. This amounts to 40% of the total amount of all fines imposed on the company for violating Russian law.

According to Roskomnadzor, in 2024, Russian courts fined Google LLC four times for a total of 15.1 million rubles. In total, according to court decisions, the company must pay the state 34.5 billion rubles.

The Federal Bailiff Service (FSBP) stated that 13.4 billion rubles have already been recovered out of 34.5 billion rubles. Also, two large turnover fines for 2021 and 2023 were previously fully recovered.

Google has repeatedly been fined for violations identified by Roskomnadzor. In 2021, a turnover fine of 7.2 billion rubles was applied, and in 2022 - 21.7 billion rubles. In 2023, Google was sanctioned in the amount of 4.6 billion rubles for repeatedly refusing to remove fakes from the YouTube platform.
