The Ministry of Industry and Trade has notified customers of marine component equipment about the possibility of organizing new production of marine engines in Russia, including for fishing vessels. This was reported by the press service of the Association of Shipowners of the Fishing Fleet.
Enterprises will be deployed as part of import substitution tasks in the shipbuilding industry and ensuring the localization of marine component equipment production.
Under a new domestic brand, the production of medium-speed diesel engines with a capacity of 184 to 9000 kW, as well as engines running on two types of fuel, gas engines, and other marine equipment, can be ensured.
Currently, the Department of Shipbuilding Industry and Marine Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Trade is collecting data on the needs of potential customers for main and auxiliary engines, as well as stationary power plants and generator sets.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that more than 150 billion rubles would be required for the development of ship repair in the Arctic and the Far East.
