The e-Neva electric crossover, which was being developed by the Almaz-Antey concern, will not be launched into production in 2026 at the former Toyo plant.
According to Kommersant, the project has been frozen, and the development has not received the necessary funding. In the context of "overload with core tasks," the electric crossover is not a priority for a military enterprise.
Initially, the concern undertook the development of an electric vehicle in order to increase the share of civilian products in accordance with the instructions of the Russian authorities. However, Almaz-Antey now has other priorities.
The state-owned JSC "Concern of Aerospace Defence "Almaz-Antey" is one of the largest enterprises in the military-industrial complex, producing air defense equipment, including the latest S-500 "Prometheus" anti-aircraft missile system.
