The "Northern Sea" company will manufacture two BK-350 boom reels for the operator of a large industrial complex in the port of Ust-Luga. This was reported by the press service of the military-industrial holding "Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant", KMZ.
The BK-350 boom barrier reel is designed for storing, deploying and removing all types of boom barriers.
The BK-350 consists of a frame, a reel and a hydraulic drive. It can be operated on shore and on ships at temperatures from -15 to +65 C°.
Application of boom barrier reels
Boom barrier reels are designed for temporary or permanent storage and transportation of booms, as well as deployment of boom barriers on the water. BK-350 are compatible with boom barriers of any type:
- heavy marine
- permanent buoyancy
- sorbing
Booms are used in case of oil spills to localize spots and trawl them to the place of sorption. During timber rafting, the equipment is used to direct the movement of trees on the water.
