More than 600 miners and cryptocurrency mining infrastructure operators have already legalized their activities. This was reported by the press service of the Federal Tax Service of Russia.
The register of persons engaged in digital currency mining includes 518 miners, and the register of mining infrastructure operators includes 91 operators.
Registers of miners and mining infrastructure operators were launched on November 1, 2024. To be included in the register, you need to send an electronic application through a special service called "Mining Register," which is available on the website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia.
Individuals have the right to mine digital currency in the amount of up to 6,000 kW/h per month without applying to the register.
At the same time, all miners, including individuals, individual entrepreneurs, and legal entities, are required to report the amount of digital currency mined monthly through a special section in their personal accounts.
