A modernized version of the Russian armored recovery vehicle BREM-80 has been equipped with a "barbecue grill" to protect against drones. Photos of the vehicle have appeared online.
The repair and recovery battalion (rembat) vehicle has been modified taking into account the experience of combat use. The BREM-80 has been reinforced with armored plates around the perimeter. A welded metal structure has been installed on the upper plane.
About BREM-80
The recovery vehicle was created on the basis of the T-80 tank. It was developed by specialists from the Design Bureau of Transport Engineering.
The main winch delivers a pulling force of 35 tf. The cable extends at a speed of 50 meters per minute and is wound at two speeds - 17 meters per minute and 50 meters per minute (selected taking into account the mass of the evacuated equipment).
