В России появился «Орешник» для борьбы с мошенниками: «Фрод-рулетка» защитит россиян от опасных звонков

The service will intercept calls from scammers, preventing them from contacting victims

A new service to combat telephone scammers, "Fraud Roulette," will appear in Russia. The service was presented at the "Cybersecurity in Finance" forum to the head of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, and the Minister of Digital Development, Maksut Shadayev.

"Fraud Roulette" works by redirecting fraudulent calls to specially trained users. The task of these users is to communicate with fraudsters for as long as possible, wasting their time. This not only helps to identify current scam schemes, but also neutralizes them, as they cannot contact a real victim at this time.

If all operators poured their calls into fraud roulette, it would be a "Hazelnut" for fraudulent call centers.

Representatives of the banks participating in the project note that the system will become an effective tool in the fight against fraud. In the future, when the service is operating at full capacity, "Fraud Roulette" will be able to significantly reduce the number of successful attempts by scammers to extort money from Russians, paralyzing the work of their call centers.
