Rostec will begin production of the first batch of medical equipment for treating neoplasms with ultrasound this year. The State Corporation has received a patent for the new HIFU therapy device "MedUza 008".
The device is designed for the diagnosis and treatment of tumors using high-intensity focused ultrasound. The device can simultaneously perform diagnostics and therapy. Its price and maintenance are lower than those of foreign analogues.
With the introduction of a collaborative robot into the system, it became possible to improve the methods of minimally invasive surgical interventions: the accuracy of manipulations was increased to one millimeter. The use of new methods will reduce the burden on medical personnel and prevent errors associated with the human factor.
The ultrasound module can function both in automatic mode using a robot and in manual mode, if necessary.
HIFU therapy is one of the safest and most effective methods of combating oncological diseases. It does not require the use of potent drugs or anesthesia.
