KMZ to Start Production of Ejectors for the "Sukhona" Floating Dock

The dock is designed for repair work

KMZ will manufacture water-jet ejectors of various capacities for the new "Sukhona" floating dock. These are hydraulic devices that transfer mechanical energy from one working medium moving at high speed to another. They are used for pumping overboard water, discharging waste water and garbage, and cleaning objects that have been underwater.

Domestic materials are used in the production of ejectors - aluminum, copper, and steel. During the creation of the devices, the plant's specialists use computer modeling technologies. This allows them to take into account the features under which the ejectors will be operated.

The "Sukhona" floating dock was laid down by the Sevmash production association (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation). The dock is designed for lifting and launching ships onto a horizontal slipway and for performing repair work. The technical design of the floating dock was developed by the Almaz Central Marine Design Bureau.
