"Tutaevsky Motor Plant" ("TMZ", a subsidiary of "KAMAZ") has received a certificate of compliance for the 8801.10 "Progress" engines. This was reported by the company's press service.
In 2024, the plant manufactured and tested prototypes and prepared production for the release of a pilot batch of "Progress" engines.
The successful certification of the 8801.10 "Progress" engines — is the result of a creative approach to the tasks, enthusiasm and conscientious work of engineers and workers from Tutaev, Naberezhnye Chelny, Yaroslavl, Barnaul and St. Petersburg, a vivid example of well-organized inter-factory cooperation of the KAMAZ Group enterprises.
During additional tests, the possibility of developing modifications of TMZ V8 engines for use in agricultural and mining equipment with a capacity of 515-588 kW (700-800 hp), as well as for diesel power plants with a capacity of 350-400 kW (438-500 kVA) was also confirmed.
