The company "Future Transport" has received a certificate of airworthiness for the S-80 drone designed for cargo delivery. This allows the drone to fly within the city limits under the experimental legal regime (EPR).
The certification of the S-80 drone modification was carried out in the Samara region. Now the drone can perform tasks of delivering consumer goods, participating in experimental flights, which will open up new opportunities for the development of urban logistics.
In the near future, the company will launch a pilot project in Tolyatti. It is planned to deliver goods from distribution centers of retail chains to parcel lockers or darkstores.
Yuri Kozarenko, CEO of the company, noted that obtaining a certificate of airworthiness is an important step in integrating drones into logistics processes. He emphasized that the use of drones in delivery has enormous potential, allowing the organization of transportation of goods within an hour. This saves customers from having to visit hypermarkets outside the city or wait for couriers for a long time.
By 2030, the company intends to produce 4,000 such drones to perform similar tasks.
