This week, during the summing up of the past year in the government of the Saratov Oblast, plans to create three new factories became known. The Chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, announced that his home region is negotiating with a major automotive company (the official did not disclose the name of the company) to locate production in the region.
In total, three new production sites are planned to be opened in the Saratov Oblast. In the near future, representatives of a large automotive enterprise intend to visit the region to discuss the details of the deal.
One of the major investment projects is planned to be implemented in the Stolypin Industrial Park in the Gagarin district of Saratov. Here, according to Volodin, they plan to establish the production of basic automotive components.
In parallel, the regional government and an unnamed investor are considering the possibility of developing aviation production in the city of Balakovo, where an airfield is currently under construction.
The third potential project is related to the placement of dump truck production at one of the factories in Engels.
It is extremely necessary for us to have enterprises of this level.
All project details remain confidential until their final agreement with investors.
In December 2024, Volodin already discussed the possibility of locating an automotive industry enterprise in the Saratov Oblast with the General Director of the Rostec State Corporation, Sergey Chemezov.
