A significant increase in car prices is expected in Russia in 2025. It could range from 30% to 50%, according to Denis Migal, vice president of the "Russian Automotive Dealers" association (ROAD), speaking to journalists.
According to the expert, the price increase will become especially noticeable in the second half of 2025 and will affect both new and used cars. Migal advises Russians who are planning to change their car to postpone the purchase.
Used cars should depreciate by 10-15% per year as they get older. But they will not depreciate, they will become more expensive
It is worth recalling that in 2024, more than 1.8 million cars were sold in Russia, which is 39% more than in 2023. Sales of passenger cars increased by 47%, amounting to 1.55 million units.
