A significant increase in car prices in 2025 is expected in Russia. It may range from 30% to 50%. This was stated to journalists by Denis Migal, Vice President of the Association "Russian Automobile Dealers" (ROAD).
According to the expert, the price increase will become especially noticeable in the second half of 2025 and will affect both new and used cars. Migal recommends that Russians who are planning to change their car should postpone the purchase.
Used cars should become cheaper by 10-15% per year, as they get older. But they will not become cheaper, they will become more expensive
It is worth recalling that in 2024, more than 1.8 million cars were sold in Russia, which is 39% more than in 2023. Sales of passenger cars increased by 47%, amounting to 1.55 million units.
