Pilots and navigators of the long-range aviation regiment successfully practiced skills in emergency situations on the Tu-22M3 bomber simulator. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
During the ongoing activities, the flight crew performed a training task in various situations: adverse weather conditions, zero visibility, various failures of onboard avionics, such as engine failure or loss of radio communications.
As part of the exercises, analyses of aviation incidents and tactical exercises to destroy a mock enemy were conducted. The pilots developed tactics for destroying command posts, military equipment, and carried out fire suppression of advancing forces using aviation weapons.
It is worth noting that the comprehensive simulator for training the crew of the Tu-22M3 aircraft allows practicing the full range of piloting tasks in the entire range of flight modes, emergency actions of the crew, and other training tasks.
